First Semester
Fall & Early Winter is a season of gathering, shared purpose, and deeper connection. Our co-op emphasizes community learning and skill-sharing, drawing on the strengths, interests, and knowledge of both children and adults. Through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects rooted in seasonal themes such as harvest, change, and cooperation, children explore science, the creative arts, storytelling, and practical skills. Weekly meet-ups balance structure and flexibility, creating space for collaboration, mentorship across ages, and meaningful relationships as we grow together through the school year.
Please note: Semester One is filling up quickly for Fall 2026.
What the semester looks like…
Program Structure
Weekly meetups allow our families the opportunity to connect with the community. Fall & early winter are such cozy times, and that is reflected in our semester. We focus on lots of crafting, literature, storytelling, and cooking. Like always, we will lean into community by maybe visiting a cottage bakery in the city, talking with a local neighborhood council, etc.
What’s Included
Tuition covers all program materials, from art supplies to our seasonal birthday celebration. A more comprehensive cost breakdown can be found on the ‘Cost’ page. Every child gets a ‘Field Notes’ book at the start of each semester.
Session Dates
We start the first week of Minneapolis Public Schools and end the first week of December, typically.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
This semester starts in September and goes through the very beginning of December. We meet weekly on Thursdays.

We try our hardest to stay within the Twin Cities. This is inspired by our push for leaning into our hyper local communities. However, your family DOES NOT have to live within the cities. If you live outside of the cities, you will likely be coming in for 75% of the meetups. Typically, our trips to the suburbs are for things like nature centers or farms!
